Police trying to contact family of woman hit by train

Officers are trying to contact the family of a woman hit by a train near Ealing Broadway station.

British Transport Police were called to reports of the incident at a line close to the station at 12.30pm on Saturday (August 30).

A British Transport Police spokesman said:

“Colleagues from the Metropolitan Police Service and London Ambulance Service also attended, but a woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her death is not being treated as suspicious.

“Officers are trying to contact the woman’s family, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
