The tenants of a suspected crack house could be permanently evicted following a police raid.

Magistrates were due to decide on Wednesday (21) whether to permanently close the house in Wealdstone in what would be a first for the borough's police.

The property, 1 John Lamb Court, off The Bye Way, was raided by Harrow Police on May 7 and resulted in a 47-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman being arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs.

Officers, who had had to obtain a search warrant from Harrow Magistrates' Court, Rossyln Crescent, Harrow, in order to raid the house, were scheduled to return to court this morning at 10am.

They will argue that their temporary 'crack house closure order' - the first issued to Harrow Police - should be made permanent.

If the magistrates agree, the tenants are likely to be evicted by the landlord, Harrow Council.
