Police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary where a black Chow Chow dog was stolen after going viral online.

Officers were called to reports of a burglary at an address in September Way, Stanmore on Wednesday, October 29 at 6.30pm.

The burglary is believed to have taken place between 8.45am and 6pm.

During that time, burglars has managed to gain entry into the garden, and then smashed a kitchen window to gain entry into the property and take the dog.

Dave Courcha from Harrow police said: "The owners are very distressed that their dog has been taken. The dog was like a member of the family.

"I would like to hear from anyone that witnessed the dog being taken or knows where the dog may be.”
