Police are hunting a predator who pushed a woman to the ground and sexually assaulted her in Hounslow.

The 22-year-old victim was returning from work in the early hours of Sunday, July 20 and had got off a bus at Hounslow Bus Garage before walking west along Hounslow High Street.

When she reached Inwood Road, at about 1.35am, the attacker pushed her to the ground and assaulted her before being disturbed by a passerby who heard her screams and running off towards Pownall Gardens.

Police want to speak to the man pictured who is described as being 20-25 years old, about 5ft9, of medium build and having short dark hair. He spoke with an Eastern European accent and was wearing a red T-shirt and dark three quarter length shorts.

DC Gurbi Bassi, of the Met's Major Crimes Unit, said: "This is a horrific attack on a woman returning home from work. We are very keen to speak to the man in the CCTV as we know he was in the area at the time of the assault and ask for anyone who knows who or where he is to contact us."
