Police are asking for witnesses to help them after yesterday’s early morning double stabbing in Kensington.

One man was found with stab injuries in Kensington Mall just before 3.30am and another man was found with stab wounds on the other side of Kensington Church Street in Royston Court.

Both men, aged in their mid-20s, were taken by London Ambulance Service (LAS) to St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington where they remain in a serious but stable condition.

A spokeswoman from LAS said: “We were called at 3:24am to reports of a stabbing off a road near Kensington Church Street.

“We sent a number of resources to the scene. We treated two patients they were taken to hospital - one as a priority.”

No arrests have been made but enquiries are continuing and police are asking anybody who saw any suspicious behaviour in Kensington Church Street and the Notting Hill Gate area between 2.30am and 3.30am on Monday (January 26) to get in contact.

The top of Kensington Church Street was closed until about 11am yesterday as police scoured the area for evidence, causing major traffic jams in the area as large buses were diverted down narrow streets.
