Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was sexually assaulted outside Victoria train station, on October 9.

At around 5.10pm, the 22-year-old woman was followed across the station by a man who tried to talk to her.
When she told him to leave her alone, he forced himself on her, touching her indecently.

The attack occurred in the forecourt area to the right of the main entrance, by the back of the Iron Duke pub.

The attacked immediately fled the scene and the victim returned to the station to report what had happened.

Detective constable Andy Parkinson, investigating officer, said: "I'm especially keen to speak to a female passenger who the victim reported the matter to as she re-entered the station.

"She is believed to have been catching a train on platform two heading toward the Medway, Dover and Ramsgate areas."
