Two police officers have been hurt after trying to stop three men dangerously driving two mopeds.

Police are appealing for witnesses who saw the two mopeds being driven recklessly in the Bruton Street area of Westminster during the early afternoon of Thursday 19 December.

Police in plain clothes attempted to stop three men on two mopeds at Conduit Street at the junction with Bruton Street, Westminster at approximately 13.12 hrs on Thursday 19 December.

Two police officers were injured during the incident and were taken by LAS to a central London hospital with a head injury and a foot injury respectively. 

They have since been discharged from hospital.

Two youths aged 15 were arrested on suspicion of assault and theft at the scene and have been taken to a central London Police Station where they remain in custody.

Enquiries are ongoing.
