Detectives are hunting a tattooed male who is targeting 'Boots' stores  stealing cash from tills using a specialised key.

The spate of thefts across Kensington and Chelsea are believed to be being carried out by a black male with a teardrop tattoo under his right eye.

On January 7, police were called to Boots on Earls Court Road, after CCTV showed the suspect entering the store at around 3:30pm.

He was seen standing next to an unattended till point lean over, open the till using a key before taking cash, closing the till and leaving the store.

On the January 31 police believe the same suspect entered Boots on Fulham Road, at 11.45am where he used the same method to remove money from a till.

DC Andy James from Kensington and Chelsea CID, said: "We believe the suspect has also targeted a number of other London boroughs and we are keen for anyone who can identify him to contact us.

"He has quite a distinctive appearance in that he has a teardrop tattoo under his right eye."

The suspect is a black male, aged about 30 to 35, about 5ft 9ins of medium build with a teardrop tattoo under his eye. He was wearing a dark-coloured beanie hat with a large white adidas logo on the front forehead area, a green/blue coloured gillet, a black hoodie, and grey/white trainers.
