Police are appealing for information after young girls from Feltham and Brixton have been missing for more than two weeks.

Jade Young of Feltham and school friend Mia Ferguson from Brixton disappeared on Sunday, May 4, and Miss Young has made contact with her mother, most recently on Saturday (May 17), from a phone box in Lavender Hill.

Both girls are believed to have disappeared together, but Miss Young sent a letter to her mother on Friday (May 16), to say she had gone to Manchester alone and would not be returning, despite being traced back to north London the following day.

She stated in the letter she was no longer with Mia and they were now both living separately with friends. Officers say the information has not been confirmed.

The girls who have been spotted in Brixton and Oval in south London were last seen on May 9, five days after they first disappeared, at the Chicken shop in Oval.

However since they went missing, Miss Ferguson is believed to have altered her appearance with hair extensions.
