A Fulham woman was celebrating this week after news her 'babies', two dogs confiscated by police who believed they were illegal pit bull terriers, would be returned to her.

Rosemary Ditch, 50, of Lancaster Court, Darlan Road, said she was delighted that her dogs Amber and Kilo, who were seized by police in July, would be given back to her.

Amber, who was confirmed a pit bull, will be returned on the condition that she is neutered and micro chipped, and if Mrs Ditch agrees to keep her on a muzzle on walks.

Kilo was not found to have enough pit bull characteristics to warrant similar measures and will be returned directly to Mrs Ditch.

She said: "I'm quite happy to do anything the police want me to do, just as long as I get them both back. I've missed them so much, and so have my 11 grandchildren, we just can't wait for them to come home."
