'Under the sea' was the theme for a family weekend at a Greenford nursery.

A pirate came to visit Peapods Nursery in Greenford Hall, Ruislip Road, as part of the two days raising awareness of the relatively new nursery.

Entrance fees from the day raised £50 for Watford based charity Action Acton, which promotes employment, education and enterprise in west London.

Nursery director Aashish Magdani said: "About 100 families came. We showcased our new sensory room for people with special needs with great sensory stuff for the kids to improve their imagination.

"We had a ballet class and ICT provider Click IT came to talk to the children of the benefits of ICT from an early age. They engaged with children and parents. We also had an assault course outside for physical development."

This event took place over the weekend of September 27-28.
