I HAVE to agree with most that Pinner Fair only really benefits the fair people and disrupts not only the thoroughfare but local trade.

My day was ruined when I planned a trip to my dogs vet in Pinner Green, I was diverted, not too much trouble with that.

Afterwards I couldn’t approach Sainsburys or the barber SVP so I caught the train to Pinner only to find both were closed, now my day was severely disrupted.

The fair could be restricted to one part of the high street.

As for being a family event I gave up on that notion last year when my family witnessed skirmishes between hooded youths on the periphery, we turned around and went home.
