A Pimlico radio station will finally hit the airwaves on Wednesday.
SW1 Radio, which launched on the internet in September, has now just been given a FM radio slot - 87.7FM - covering all of London.
The temporary licence lasts until the end of December, but the DJs are hoping they will be allowed to stay on FM radio full-time.
Jacob Niedzwietki, who goes by the name DJ Jacob Adam, said: "SW1 Radio has been going quite well on the internet so far, and listening figures are steady. Going on FM will be really good because it will increase people's awareness of what we're doing. The music we play is quite cutting edge, as we don't have the pressure to play certain songs like commercial stations. We don't restrict DJs, and we don't have a play list."
Mr Niedzwietki will present a breakfast show from Wednesday to Friday, 7am-10am.
Other popular shows include DJ Atomic Mosquito, which runs on Thursdays between 6pm-8pm and plays music by unsigned bands; Girls from the Green, on from 12pm-2pm on Thursdays, who discuss recycling and environment issues, and Pimlico Colin who has a breakfast show on Saturday mornings from 7am-10am.
Mr Niedzwietki added: "We're also hoping to nurture new talent. DJ Dimah has just joined us and is really enthusiatic about becoming a DJ. He hasn't had any formal training, but he mixes well and plays great tracks."
