Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan criticised housing minister Alok Sharma for his poor knowledge following the Grenfell Tower fire.

The shocking fire, which began in the early hours of the morning on the June 14, left 79 people dead or missing presumed dead.

On his show on Tuesday (June 26), Morgan challenged the minister on whether the cladding used on the building was banned.

Mr Sharma replied that neither of them were "experts when it comes to these matters".

Morgan retorted: "You're the housing minister, it's literally your job to know."

The cladding used on Grenfell Tower has been blamed for the extent to which the fire spread.

Following the fire, 60 other buildings have since failed safety tests, leading to people being forced from their homes into temporary accomodation.
