People from all over west London joined in ceremonies to pay their respects on Remembrance Sunday to those who have given their lives for their countries.

Processions were led through both Fulham and Shepherd’s Bush, ending up with services held at the Fulham War Memorial and Shepherds Bush Green War Memorial respectively.

An act of remembrance took place at Sloane Square Memorial followed by a service at Holy Trinity Church and another ceremony was held at the war memorial outside St Mary Abbots Church, in Kensington High Street, followed by a service at the church.

In Westminster, West London Synagogue in Seymour Place held a remembrance Shabbat service, The War Widows Association of Great Britain held its annual service at the Cenotaph in Whitehall on Saturday and on Sunday a wreath laying ceremony was held at Westminster Abbey followed by a service.

Mayors from all three boroughs laid wreaths at cenotaphs as members of the public, and in Sloane Square, Chelsea Pensioners, paid their respects to the men and women who have died fighting in the First World War and every conflict since.
