Schoolchildren in Feltham got all festive with a nativity play and carol singing to mark the last week of term.

A group of Year 3 pupils at Victoria Junior School were applauded for their performance of Gabriel's Big Break performed in front of fellow pupils, family, friends and schoolchildren at Cardinal Road Infant School, on Monday (15).

The story takes place in a bustling heaven where angels learn a variety of jobs, and Ariel, one of the angels, is given a list of 'extra special' tasks but comes down with a stinking cold unable to fuilfil his duties.

A younger, angel Gabriel hopes to shine but loses out to an older, more experienced Raphael.

Later on in the afternoon festive cheer spread outside by the Christmas tree to sing carols, indulge in mince pies and keep warm with a glass of non-alcoholic mulled wine.
