A festive grub, a sprinkle of entertainment and a good old chin wag were all the ingredients of the Bedfont Darby and Joan club Christmas party.

About 70 friends gathered for the annual event which included a chicken and ham meal with all the trimmings, at the decorated St Mary's church hall, last Saturday (Dec 6).

Mayor of Hounslow Corinna Smart attended the evening and mingled with all the diners, among them, ex-councillor Liz Mammatt and getwestlondon columnist Eddie Menday.

With bellies filled to the rim, singer and dancer Mickie Driver took his cue to keep the crowds entertained and the audience sang along to some classic show tunes.

The party wrapped up with a free raffle draw and a number of people went home with a prize.
