Magic, puppetry and children's games helped draw an estimated crowd of more than 2,000 to the Isleworth Street Party on Saturday (June 7).

Revellers also enjoyed live music, craft stalls, a bouncy castle and much more at the event, held in Church Street and the grounds of All Saints Church.

The party, now in its fourth year, was held under the Inspiring Isleworth banner, with Adrianne Mead, of the London Apprentice pub heading up the organising committee.

The 3rd Osterley Sea Scouts and the Isleworth Rugby Club & Lions International were among the groups represented at the event.

Friends of Cathja, which provides art therapy for those with mental health problems from a barge in the Thames at Isleworth, was this year's nominated charity.

Nowell Anderson, publicity officer for Inspiring Isleworth, said the day had raised an estimated £5,000 for all the charities and community groups represented on the day, including at least £1,800 towards buying a minibus for Cathja.

* A summer fair at St John the Baptist Church, in Isleworth, next Saturday (June 21) is the next event under the Inspiring Isleworth banner.

Visitors will be able to enjoy live music, a BBQ, a bouncy castle and much more at the church, in St John's Road, from 2pm to 5pm. Entry is free.
