Photos sent in to getwestlondon reveal the extent of the damage to the lorries involved in a crash on the A40 in Hillingdon.

London Ambulance Service rushed a man in his 20s to hospital after the collision just before midday on Wednesday, July 30.

The crash, involving two lorries, happened near to Swakeleys Roundabout on the A40.

The photos were sent in by website Ickenham Online.

The photographer said: "A tipper lorry stopped in the carriage way westbound between Polish War Memorial and Swakeleys Roundabout due to a flat tyre."

He said the second lorry hit the first and despite air ambulance, ambulance crews and London Fire Brigade attending the scene to help cut out one of the drivers free, he described both drivers as ok.

Latest traffic news is that the A40 remains closed westbound at Hillingdon Circus which is causing major tailbacks and congestion in local roads.
