Yesterday (Sunday) members of Ruislip-based performing arts school JAM2000 surprised visitors at intu Uxbridge with a dance routine which they performed every hour, on the hour from 11am to 4pm.

The 54-strong squad of male and female dancers, who were aged from seven to 54, danced to a medley which included Bang Bang by will.i.am, Michael Buble's cover of Sway and Another One Bites the Dust by Queen.

The denim-clad mob were disguised as shoppers on the ground floor of the centre, near Debenhams, until music blasted through the centre and they broke out into their rock, salsa and tap routine.

The day was organised as part of intu Uxbridge’s Fashion Month.

The performing arts agency has supplied young people for the third series of BBC's Call the Midwife.

In January, the young performers earned the borough £6,000 by coming second in a London-wide New Year's Day parade competition.
