Tube services coming into Uxbridge are experiencing minor delays, after a brief period of disruption because of a person on the tracks.

@metline tweeted that services were not running because of "a person under a train" just after 11am this morning (Thursday), but the British Transport Police (BTP) have confirmed that the person was not struck by a train.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: "BTP officers were called to Ruislip London Underground (LU) station after a report that a man was on the westbound Metropolitan line track.

"Officers from BTP and the London Fire Brigade attended the incident, which was reported to BTP at 11.05am and is currently being treated as non-suspicious.

"Medics from the London Ambulance Service also attended and the man, who was not struck by a train and is not believed to have sustained serious injuries, was taken to hospital."

The track was handed back to London Underground at 11.41am.
