A person has died after being hit by a train at Shepherd’s Bush Market station.

London Ambulance Service were called to the station at 10.28am today (October 1) to reports of a person under a Circle line train.

A spokeswoman said: “We sent a duty officer, a single responder in a car, an ambulance crew and London’s Air Ambulance.

“Unfortunately a person was found dead at the scene.”

The sex and age of the person has not yet been released.

Circle line and Hammersmith and City line services from Edgware Road to Hammersmith were down from 10.30am until 11.45am due to the incident.

The rest of the two lines still have severe delays after a signal failure at Paddington earlier this morning which has now been fixed.

Emergency engineering work on the Central line between Liverpool Street and Marble Arch has also now been completed but there are still severe delays on the entire line.
