A pensioner who was hit by a bus she had got off just seconds earlier, in Willesden, has died after two months in hospital.

The 70-year-old woman, Khairad Sholeye, was hit by the 226 moments after she got off at Dudden Hill Road, opposite the junction with Chapter Road, in November.

She was pronounced dead on Saturday and a post mortem found her death was due to a leg injury, septicaemia and respiratory failure.

Police are now appealing for witnesses who may have seen anything and are urging anyone with information to contact the Alperton Collision Investigation Unit on 0208 998 5519, or Crime Stoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
