A pedestrian hit by a car in Shepherd’s Bush over the weekend has been named after he died yesterday (October 28).
Daniel Garcia, 25, of Acton, was crossing Uxbridge Road near the junction with Coverdale Road on Sunday (October 26) when he was hit by a dark coloured Vauxhall Astra.
He was taken to St Mary’s Hospital with serious head injuries but was pronounced dead yesterday despite having surgery at around 6am the same day. His family has been informed.
The driver stopped at the incident near Shepherd’s Bush Market station but was not arrested however detectives from the serious collision investigation unit are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened at about 2.30am.
