Peace is the inspiration behind a programme of events taking place across the borough.
Harrow will be hosting 23 community events as part of London's annual Week of Peace on September 13 - 21.
These will include a children's football tournament, musical performances, yoga classes and religious readings.
A main event is the Edgware Street Party this Sunday and special guest, Melissa Suffield - who plays Lucy Beale in Eastenders - will be releasing a dove at the street party.
There will be funfairs, stalls, workshops and competitions during the day, and a cultural carnival in the evening which will include Indonesian dance and drama organised by Flash Musicals.
Councillor Chris Mote, portfolio holder for community services, said: "We have been receiving very positive feedback from residents that are looking forward to the day's events.
"In July, 3,600 letters were sent out to the residents of Edgware. Since then, there have also been three consultation meetings held with residents, councillors and organisations, who said they wanted to be involved.
Peace Week is part of a campaign to promote community cohesion, which also included a beach party at Alexander park in South Harrow on August 31. For more information on the street party visit www.harrow.gov.uk/streetparty
