I echo the opinion expressed by Karline Bowen in her recent letter ('Black or white, we're the same' Chronicle, October 9).

Mrs Bowen's family is a perfect example of how people from different parts of the world are all the same beneath the skin. She has my respect for the way in which she is bringing up her children to respect all others.

The 'PC mob' have much to answer for, in my opinion. I am at a loss to understand why they need to categorise the population. Is it that they have nothing more productive to do?

If my child was drowning, I wouldn't ask the race, religion or age of the person who went to their rescue, I would just be so glad that they were there.
