The mum of a Feltham supertot who regularly runs mini-marathons says she is looking forward to the day they can complete their first full-length event together.

Three-year-old James-Tobias Norrington ran three mini-marathons last month and came to face to face with his heroine - long distance runner Paula Radcliffe.

"I have done the New York marathon four times and hope that James will once old enough, take part in the 26.2 mile run with me," said James' mum Kelli Dixon-Norrington.

James, whose parents run a dance school in Bedfont and Sunbury, completed the one-mile Mini Great North in 13 minutes and 25 seconds.

Just three weeks later he slashed his time by two minutes and three seconds at the Mini Great South Run on October 25.

"He was very happy that day and loved running and was also very lucky to have a photo taken with Paula Radcliffe," said his proud mum. "She was very keen to take time to chat with James about his running and so was her husband Gary who was very friendly and supportive.

"Paula then won the 10-mile run the next day at the Great South Run which was very exciting for James to watch and see her run so well."

Dancing-enthusiast James then jetted out to New York to take part in the International Friendship run on November 1, where he completed two and a half miles in just 43 minutes.

All James' running has been done to raise money for the charity Get Kids Going, which supplies wheelchairs to disabled children.

James is their youngest fundraiser and has so far collected £230. For more information on the charity visit www.getkidsgoing.com
