THE article concerning parking problems at Pinn Medical Centre comes as no surprise to residents who live in the vicinity ['Free parking plea ignored', Observer, March 19].

At the meeting I attended when the proposed centre was explained the question of limited parking was raised, but at the time it did not appear to be a problem to the plan-ners. Anyone who lives in Avenue Road/Love Lane will tell you that street parking is very limited on any weekday, particularly between 11am and noon.

Some free parking must be available to patients attending the centre but this would be difficult to administrate.
