A PARALYMPIC horse rider gave an inspiring talk to a group of supermarket managers to help them see disability differently.

Natasha Baker will compete in the dressage event for team GB in the 2012 Olympics, where riders demonstrate the control they have of their horses through making them perform intricate movements.

Despite suffering from Transverse Myelitis, a disease which attacks the spinal cord, she has won several competitions at just 20 years old, even though she cannot feel her legs while riding. This was the message she was invited to share with Sainsbury's managers in Park Royal last Wednesday.

Umi Parbhu, PR ambassador for the store, said: “She's proof that just because you're disabled it doesn't mean you can't do the things you want or believe in. It was quite upsetting about how her condition affected her as a child and growing up. But she overcame her difficulties, she was really inspiring.”
