TWO men have been charged with the murder of an Uxbridge man who was brutally assaulted and later died from his injuries.

Sade Samanter, 20, and 33 year-old Ibrahim Dualeh, both of no fixed address, appeared at the Old Bailey this morning (Tuesday) accused of killing Abdullahi Osman, a Somali national living in Uxbridge.

Both men were remanded in custody and are due to reappear at the same court on Thursday, November 10 for a plea and case management hearing.

The alleged attack on Mr Osman, 31, happened at a bus stop near Dean Gardens in the Broadway, West Ealing, in the early hours of August 11.

The two suspects were arrested and initially charged with GBH with intent, appearing at Ealing Magistrates' Court the day after the assault.

At that hearing, an Isleworth Crown Court date was set for October 24.

On Saturday, August 13, however, Mr Osman died from his head injuries, and last Friday (September 2), the Crown Prosecution Service decided to upgrade the charges against the pair to murder.

A third suspect, Mohamed Ahmed Jeylani, 22, of Regina Road, Southall, was released with no further action.
