Carnival history could be made today in North Kensington with a world-record breaking attempt for group body-painting.
More than 500 people are expected to be covered from head to toe in paint during the event which is being organised by a group called Isis Mas.
Body painting is part of a Caribbean tradition of 'Jabjab', meaning 'pretty devils', where people are painted to invoke the spooky side of the carnival.
Anyone who wants to take part in the record attempt and be painted at no charge can turn up at the junction of Barlby Road and Ladbroke Road on Monday between 8am-11.30am.
A spokesman said: "If we succeed in getting 500 men and women to join in we'll be making Carnival history, so spread the word and come on down."
