PLANS for the redevelopment of South Ruislip's former Arla Foods site are to go on display.

People are invited to review and discuss the scheme for the 10 acre plot in Victoria Road, South Ruislip, on Thursday next week.

It will be the first time developer Citygrove and owner Arla Foods will reveal the plans, which include a Cineworld, family restaurants, cafes and small shops, plus 100 family homes and an Asda supermarket.

The development will create 600 jobs and it is hoped it will help to regenerate South Ruislip.

Express Dairies closed in 2006 and the site has been vacant since. Citygrove has consulted Hillingdon Council, Transport for London, HS2 and South Ruislip Residents’ Association in order to finalise the plans.

The designs can be viewed at the Ramada Holiday Inn in Long Drive, South Ruislip from 4pm to 8pm. A new website www.citygrovesouthruislip.com will go online the same day, so that people can view and comment on the plans.

A planning application will be submitted to Hillingdon Council shortly, and if successful, work could begin on the development early next year.
