The village is being hit by the worst floods for more than 40 years say locals, and it seems one lady had found an extraordinary way of navigating the water-logged areas.

The incredible sight, was posted by Twitter user Mr Hooper (@hoops46), whose friend Allen Davies caught it on camera just at the right time.

The lady is in fact carefully picking her way along the flooded towpath between the Grand Union Canal and the River Colne, but with the water gushing between the two waterways, it is hard to make out where the land starts and finishes.

At least two inches of water was sitting over the walk way - enough to be dangerous if flowing at speed - so the Gazette does not recommend anyone else try this stunt.

Do keep sending your flood photos in, but keep your feet dry.
