I object to proposals by DLP Ltd have to develop Green Belt land in Lower Feltham. Readers feeling likewise should contact their councillors.

The DLP questionnaires were leading and didn't allow freedom of expression to object entirely to development. They basically asked shall we build 800 houses, 1,000 or more besides?

Feltham has endured massive development in recent years and with more planned, surely it is vital to protect some areas.

DLP described the proposed area as wasteland but it is a green oasis which gives welcome peaceful respite from what has become an increasinglybusy area in terms of new-builds and traffic. They have no idea how much the area is appreciated by residents and passers-by.

I sincerely hope local people will voice their objections strongly and prevent this site being developed. It will not be in keeping with the natural beauty of the site, which is enhanced by the fishing lake and horse paddock.

The only thing which would add something to the site is the planting of more trees to give Feltham the help it desperately needs to combat the growing pollution of our environment.

STEPHANIE STEWART Feltham.
