PRIVILEGED Hillingdon residents had an important wake-up call when US airforce planes flew low over their houses, in preparation of the G20 Summit being held this week.

The C-17s were destined for RAF Northolt in South Ruislip, but were hit by cross winds which meant it had to over shoot.

The photos were sent in by resident Alan Palmer who captured the low flying aircraft over Cavendish Avenue, Ruislip last weekend.

The aircraft were flying over helicopters which were used by President Barack Obama to get around London for the G20 summit this week
