A RECORD breaking set of results left GCSE students and teachers 'thrilled' at Nower Hill High School, George V Avenue, Harrow.

Gaining the best results yet, 91 per cent of pupils passed with a A* to C grade and 80 per cent of students gained five or more A* to C grades including English and Maths.

One very happy pupil, Kunal Bhatia, 16, Beaulieu Drive, Eastcote gained 11 A* and four A's.

Hoping to become a physicist one day, he said: "I am pleased with my results, it is what I expected. I am very proud of myself."

Another student, 16 year-old Hajel Mistry, Torbay Road, Rayners Lane, gained 13 GCSE's altogether all being A* grade expect for one A. She said: "I am so happy, I honestly didn't think I would do so well. All that hard work has paid off."
