NORTHOLT High school received a visit from a former chief executive of Tesco, to inspire them in their future careers.

Sir Terry Leahy gave presentations to year 10 students and staff on Wednesday (8) in the hope of motivating them in their plans for the future.

He talked about his experience and how he came into his role.

While Mr Leahy had his title, Tesco led in the UK business market and became the third largest global retailer in terms of revenue and the second largest in terms of profit.

He devised and implemented the Clubcard loyalty programme and has been a government adviser and a member of the World Economic Forum.

He is also an adviser to Everton Football Club and is currently involved with start up investments.
