The milk fridge in the Uxbridge store in the High Street was empty and closed off yesterday (Thursday, January 5).

The company said there had been a 'small supply issue' that caused a delay to deliveries. It would not elaborate.

A member of staff said the same problem had arisen a few days earlier.

An M&S spokesman said supplies continued throughout the period but not to full capacity, leading to the store running out of milk at times.

A delivery was made today (Friday) and deliveries were expected to be back to normal by Sunday.
