Subsequent to your report about the proposals for a new police station in Harrow,I have personally had verbal confirmation from both the Property and Territorial Policing sections of Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) that the findings of the review of

MPS assets are expected to be released in spring this year.

I have also received confirmation that no decision has been taken by MPS with regards to the future of the proposals for a new police station in Harrow and there is 'in principle' support and justification at officer level for our new police station.

If Mayor Johnson is serious about addressing crime in London and making our communities safe I demand adequate support and funding for replacing inadequate policing facilities like the one in Harrow.

I welcome a sustained campaign by Gareth Thomas MP for this in Harrow and will continue to press for support from Mayor Johnson, chairman of Metropolitan Police Authority.
