Prostitutes were today (Tuesday, June 10) evicted from a home in Heston which had been turned into a brothel without the landlord's knowledge.

Neighbours first complained to police back in January about clients turning up at the property at all hours of the day and night.

Officers hand-delivered a brothel warning notice to the address that month asking the occupants to leave, and when the landlord was informed what was going on he instructed a solicitor to get them out.

A Hounslow Police spokesman said the nine female occupants were given numerous warnings to leave, most recently on May 23, when officers visited and spoke to them, but no arrests were made.

They were eventually removed this morning (Tuesday, June 10) after the owner of the property successfully applied for a county court bailiff, who was assisted by police.

In February this year, Hounslow Police revealed 46 sex workers had been identified operating in the borough during the previous year and a half.

In the same month, an angry punter complained to Harrow Trading Standards after being turned away from a brothel.
