THE Harrow Observer (February 4) reports that the Conservative Party will push for vast expenditure at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore.
Is this the same Conservative Party that has leapt with eagerness into discussions on public expenditure cuts competing with Lib Dems as to who can make the deepest cuts?
Is this the same Tory Party that makes a policy in the morning and changes it by mid-afternoon?
Clearly voters will have to decide which party will defend the National Health Service. I think the NHS is only safe in Labour hands.
