Overwhelming support for the model cows to be restored to their home above the Dairy Crest in Hanworth has reached new heights.

Petition organiser Jochaim Jellinek, 43, of Park Road, Twickenham, backed by getwestlondon, has launched a new website where people can interact and share their views and future events will be publicised.

Since getwestlondon exclusively revealed the six fibre glass cows had been taken down and the company said it would make no promises for their return, people with roots in the community, from far and wide, have pledged their support to the campaign.

The petition which stood at a mere 30 signatures has now reached just over 6,000 in five days and the count continues to go up, with people taking to social media site Twitter to keep the petition going.

Dairy Crest have not returned our email or calls since Friday.

By Thursday (10) afternoon signatures had rocketed to more than 900.

Overnight herds of people from across the world showed their support with signatures climbing to 3,941.
