HARROW’S former X Factor star is making a bid for Christmas domination with his new single.

Harrow’s Johnny Robinson, who was part of last year’s talent competition, has been biding his time and making a name for himself as a lovable singer who is here to stay.

Now, with his catchy Christmas single It’s Christmas Time Again, he is hoping to become as much a festive tradition as mince pies and colourful jumpers.

The Christmas single is a new composition and features a festive video complete with sleighs, snow and Johnny floating away on a cloud.

The singer, in his 40s, released the jazzy Christmas song at the beginning of December and it has become a hit on YouTube, and has all the makings of a Christmas classic.

Johnny, or Jo-Ro as he was known during X Factor, turned on the Christmas lights in Harrow town centre last year and took part in the Observer’s Toy Appeal 2011, delighting children in Jack’s Place at Northwick Park by handing out presents donated by readers.

He has been busy over the last year and his bubbly and friendly persona earned him presenting jobs on ITV’s This Morning programme as well as other channels.
