POLICE have released two new photographs in the hope of making an arrest in connection with a robbery which has left a 63-year-old woman seriously ill in hospital.
Valerie Dancer was attacked as she walked through the underpass leading off Carlyon Road, Hayes, on November 25 at about 2.45pm.
Valerie remains seriously ill in hospital and her family are at her bedside. The Metropolitan Police Service are offering a reward of up to £5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of the person responsible.
The assailant is described as a young Somalian male aged in his teens and was wearing dark clothing.
Following the attack he ran out of the underpass into Carlyon Road towards Hayes possibly turning left into the path that runs along the A312 in the direction of Uxbridge Road, Hayes.
The male stole several items of property including a Pink Nokia mobile flip phone and a black Radley purse. Pictures of items similar to these have been released in the hope anyone offered them for sale will recognise them.
Detective Inspector Mark Brookes, who is leading the investigation said: "We are continuing with our investigations into this senseless and horrific attack and I urge again for the person responsible to come forward. I ask the public, if you do not wish to speak to the police then do call Crimestoppers anonymously."
