THE 20 miles per hour limit recently applied to Central Avenue, Hayes, is welcome, but why doesn't this limit apply to all the narrow and conjested roads leading off this one which have had newly erected signs stating: 'End of 20mph - Now 30mph Permissible'?

Most of these roads are conjested, narrow and, during Uxbridge College and school terms, nearly impossible to drive through.

Surely the 20mph limit should have been applied to all the roads between Church Road and Coldharbour Lane?

MR K NASH,

Wheatley Crescent, Hayes.
