Readers and local residents will have noted that the Leefe Robinson restaurant has recently been reopened, after refurbishment, by the new owners. Sadly the name Leefe Robinson VC no longer appears on the entry sign, instead the name Miller and Carter is shown.

Additionally, the evocative portraits and pictures of the gallant First World War airman, inside the building, have been removed. Their apparent rejection of a local landmark to a national hero, is to be deplored, possibly having said airman spinning in his grave where he is buried in the cemetery opposite the restaurant.

Anyone wishing to express their concerns should address them to Miller and Carter, Brockhurst Corner, Uxbridge Road, Harrow, Middlesex, HA3 6DL.
