A typical early morning scene in Uxbridge High Street .

People going to work, lorries making deliveries, rubbish bags awaiting collection.

Pair of ducks sitting in the road.

But in springtime, the sight of of lovebirds taking their ease in a suburban street is not that uncommon.

Amorous male ducks, sometimes several at once, pursue the females for miles, taking off from ponds and rivers and flying in circles and across neighbourhoods until, exhausted, they come to rest on the nearest stretch of water - or whatever resembles it.

Probably a bit of a bumpy landing but these to seemed unfazed by the early morning hubub.
