Community leaders came together to celebrate Islam as a religion of peace.
Faith leaders, politicians and police chiefs joined on Saturday at Pinner Village Hall, in Chapel Lane, Pinner, alongside the Mayor of Harrow Ajay Maru to discuss how peace can be achieved and maintained.
The evening, organised by The Harrow and Greenford Ahamadiyya Muslim Association, had Imam Ataul Mujeeb Rashid of the London Mosque was the keynote speaker, who cited passes of the Quran that demonstrate Islam as a religion of peace and how it can be a force for good in the world during challenging times.
President of the The Harrow and Greenford Ahamadiyya Muslim Association Mr Chowdry said: “It was fantastic to see a wonderful turn out for such a great cause.”
