A MURDER inquiry is underway after police were called to an address in West Ealing over reports that a woman had been stabbed.
Police were called to Target House in Sherwood Close at 1.30am on Tuesday (March 13). They said a woman aged 59 was taken by ambulance to St Mary's Hospital and later pronounced dead.
A post-mortem on Tuesday 13 March gave cause of death as stab wounds. Next were informed but a formal identification had still to take place as of Wednesday.
A man aged 52 was arrested at the scene and remains in custody at a west London police station.
