Children showed their mums how much they care by making a huge display which will be seen by thousands of shoppers at Hounslow's Treaty Centre.

About 90 five and six-year-olds from Chatsworth Primary School decorated giant flowers, butterflies and a humming bird during a workshop at the school, in Heath Road, Hounslow, last week.

They also decorated giant letters spelling out 'mum' during the collage session, which was organised by the shopping centre.

Their artwork has gone on display at a hoarding near Wilkinson at the shopping centre, in Hounslow High Street, ahead of Mother's Day this Sunday.

Treaty Centre manager Janet Leatherland said: "We thought it would be a wonderful idea to display some children's artwork to celebrate Mother's Day.

"The children have done an absolutely fabulous job creating some really lovely pieces of art.”"

The art will be on display at Treaty for the next few weeks. There will also be some special Mother's Day messages from children who took part in an art session at the centre on Saturday to make Mother's Day cards.
